A video for all of you to check out. It's free to watch on Vimeo. The producer himself put it up.

I saw a screening of this movie in Pasadena, CA. I think it's very non-biased and shows both sides in the controversy of the purity movement.
A way for me to get the message out that pastors and churches all across America and the world are straight up lying to people with their poisonous dogmas that treat sex as some perverted thing. Sex is beautiful. Sex is natural. Sex is not sin.

Regret at waiting
It looks like the preachers selling the purity propaganda are wrong (big surprise). There's this fabrication within the purity culture that goes like this: if you save yourself for marriage, you will have mind-blowing sex and live happily ever after. Not so for quite a few people. Take Jessica Ciencin Henriquez's article "My Virginity Mistake" on the Salon website. She says the opposite of the purity culture's message - that waiting for marriage actually led to her divorce.

The Purity Culture
I am no longer a virgin. I’ve had sex with a few people and
I don’t care to let people know how old I was when I “lost” it. I don’t regret
having sex – I regret waiting. When I think back to all of the frustration I was put through, it infuriates me. This “purity culture” is bullshit. What kind of perverted
crap is this when 8-year-old girls pledge their vaginas to their daddies? Don’t
believe me? Watch The
Virgin Daughters. Besides, there’s nothing in the Bible that says you can’t
fantisize, watch porn, or masturbate. They say
it does, but it doesn’t. And they’ll use the topic of lust being a sin to prove
their point.
